Education:

B.A. Anthropology, Washington University in St. Louis, 2017

Research Interests:

Sakura is broadly interested in understanding how local evolutionary histories and sociocultural ecologies influence maternal and child health outcomes in the Pacific Islands. Her dissertation project will examine the impact of obesity on ovarian function among Samoan women.
