Bio

Education: Ph.D. Anthropology, Yale University, 2004

Research Interests:

I am a biological anthropologist whose work encompasses skeletal biology, comparative anatomy, pathology and field ecology for humans and nonhuman primates.  I have conducted research on primate ecology and behavior in Panama and Uganda, and I also study skeletal material using evolutionary biology and life history theory to interpret individual, population, and species-level variation.

Recent Publications:

Redtail and red colobus monkeys show intersite urinary cortisol concentration variation in Kibale National Park, Uganda

Urinary cortisol levels of gray-cheeked mangabeys are higher in disturbed compared to undisturbed forest areas in Kibale National Park, Uganda Mangabey cortisol and habitat variation

Bridging the research gap between live collections in zoos and preserved collections in natural history museums
